Tuesday, June 11

Hello Blog Followers! Sorry for the delay in getting this updated. We were all very tired yesterday. We had an overnight flight and arrived in London at 8:00 a.m.  We had a full day of touring. Highlights included a stop at Royal Albert Hall and Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guard.  We watched the entry of the new Guard and were able to get much closer to the action.  We saw many other things on the bus tour: Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Downing Street, and the London Eye.  We had a nice dinner at the hotel and then went to bed for some much-needed rest.

The Police blocked traffic for the Guard to come out.

The Guard marched out with a band leading the way.

Across the road and into the palace.

Buckingham Palace - the particular flag flying above tells us the Queen was at the Palace.

Flags along the route the Guard takes.
